GOLF & COMPETITION

1. Refer to the full terms of conditions as per the online entry portal http://www.parnz.co.nz
2. Please check your tee time and check-in at Registration at least 20 minutes prior your tee time.
   •  
   • For those with carts - please check in at ProShop and sign a Cart Hire Agreement
   • Carts will have your names on the steering wheel or cart windscreen
   • For those with trundlers – please check in with the ProShop
3. The overall tournament competition is a 4-rounds of single Stableford
   • For men and women in two handicap divisions
   • For men and women by age in a Super Seniors 70+ division.
   • The division split by handicap will be announced before Round 1 on Monday 3 November
4. Concurrently there is an overall Gross competition for men and women (low markers only).
5. There is a fun team competition scoring best 3 of 4 Stableford scores across all 4 rounds.
6. Overall prizes will be awarded on Friday night in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status.
   • Mens & Womens Gross:                    1^st
   • Mens & Womens Division 1:              1^st – 6^th
   • Mens & Womens Division 2:              1^st – 6^th
   • Mens & Womens Super Seniors:       1^st – 3^rd

6. Fun daily prizes will be announced and awarded after golf each day in the Clubhouses of Hastings, Maraenui and Napier Golf Clubs. Please enjoy the hospitality and support each club.
   • Daily prizes awarded - Stableford, Near to Pin, Titleist ProV1 2’s and Lucky Draws
   • Players may win more than one daily prize across the week
7. There is no daily prize giving at Cape Kidnappers with the exception of Near to Pin, Titleist ProV1 2’s
8. Pace of play is important in the tournament with a full field – as a reminder: -
   • Please pick up if you have run out of Stableford points
   • Keep up with the group in front of you
   • The time to search for a lost ball is 3 minutes
9. Scoring records must be submitted using Golf Genius digital score card.
10. Please check your digital scorecard with your playing partner/marker, once scores are agreed select certify and submit.

 

12. While handicaps will change daily, players will remain in the same division as per day one, for the duration of the tournament and the awarding of prizes.
13. Ties decided in accordance with the Tournament T&C’s.
14. A set of Local rules common across the tournament week will be displayed on the Tournament APP. There are also some specific rules that apply to each course - please note and adhere to all.

 

HANDICAP ADJUSTMENTS

As advised in the entry conditions, all scores and handicaps will be reviewed and adjusted daily. Your playing handicap will also change in relation to the slope of the course you are playing that day.

 

As competitors are from New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia, regardless of recent system changes in Australia, the current handicap systems in each country, remain different.  Therefore, in line with advice and in fairness to all, handicaps for all players will be adjusted daily as per the following system:

 

• Stableford scores between 32 – 40: Your handicap index will not change. 
• Stableford scores below 32 (i.e. 31 and lower): Your handicap index will be adjusted for the next round by index + 0.1 for every shot lower
• Stableford scores above 40 (i.e. 41 and above): Your handicap index will be adjusted for the next round - 0.2 for every shot higher
• New Zealand scores for all players will only be entered into DotGolf at the end of the tournament.
• Australian and Malaysian cards for handicapping can be filed back to your own country at own care.
• The above does not preclude the tournament committee making further adjustments if it is believed that players are recording scores significantly higher than their original handicap would indicate.

TOURNAMENT FUNCTIONS (INCLUDED)

In your tournament package there are several set functions included and are detailed on the Tournament APP along with opening times and services at each golf club. Note all clubs are ‘cashless. Dietary requirements have been noted for several players and special meals will be provided where necessary. Pre-paid non-golfing partners are invited to join their partners at their allotted times.

 

Sunday 2^nd November: Registration and Trinity Hill Wines tasting

• This is a drop in complimentary function anytime from 1:00pm – 4:00pm for golfers and partners
• Trinity Hill will be providing complimentary tastings for their full range of wines
• Ploughman’s Platters can be purchased at the winery
• Yes, you can purchase Trinity Hill Wines at special prices to take away or have delivered home
• PaR nz will be selling a Raffle in support of our official charity MND (Motor Neurone Disease) – the winning prize is 6 nights staying at The Sheraton Fiji valued over $3,000 – raffle tickets are 3 for $20, cash only

 

Monday 3rd November: Round 1 @ Hastings GC

• The whole field plays at Hastings GC on Monday Round 1 split across an AM and PM field.
• For the AM field a 2-course lunch with a glass of Trinity Hill Wine is included after your round.
• For the PM field a 2-course dinner with a glass of Trinity Hill Wine is included after your round.
• Pre-paid non-golfing partners are invited to join their partners after their round.

 

Tuesday 4^th November, Thursday 6^th November & Friday 7^th November @ Cape Kidnappers

• The field will have the opportunity to play Cape Kidnappers with their team and/or friends on either the Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. Pre-paid non-golfers join their partner for the day.
• If you tee off in the AM a 2-course lunch with a glass of Trinity Hill Wine is included after your round.
• If you tee off in the PM a 2-course lunch with a glass of Trinity Hill Wine is included before your round. Additional wines and beverages can be purchased over the bar.

 

Tuesday 4^th November – Melbourne Cup

• Come and watch The Melbourne Cup on the Big Screen from 4:00pm (Race is 5:00pm) at The Thirsty Whale (62 West Quay, Ahuriri, Napier) – we will run a fun sweepstake (bring cash) so make sure you buy a horse! Food & beverage at your own care.

 

Friday 7^th November – Prize Giving Dinner

• The Prize Giving Dinner is included in the package for all golfers and pre-paid non-golfing partners.
• The night includes a 2-course meal and glass of Trinity Hill Wine. Additional wines and beverages can be purchased over the bar (please note the bar is cashless).
• Napier GC from 6:00pm to be seated for dinner by 7:00pm. Prize Giving to follow dinner at 9:00pm
